Ingredients
- Baguette bread (I used Schar mini gluten free baguettes)
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella
- Pepperoni
Quick no-cook pizza sauce:
- 4-5 Tbsp tomato purΓ©e
- 2-3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (or more / to taste)
- 1 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1 Tbsp dried basil
- Black pepper
- Salt
- A few Tbsp of water
Other fun toppings:
- Other cheeses (parmesan, goat cheese, extra mature cheddar, etc)
- Bell peppers
- Pickled jalapeΓ±os
- Red onions
- Mushrooms
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 220C (428F).
- Bake your baguette bread in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, until have a lovely crisp outer crust. Then cut it into slices and place them side by side in an oven dish. Optional: at this point you can toast the bread slices briefly under the grill if you want a crispier crunchier texture.
- Mix all pizza sauce ingredients together in a bowl and add water, little by little, until you have a nice (not too runny) consistency.
- Spread the pizza sauce all over the bread slices, add a generous amount of mozzarella and your choice of toppings.
- Bake your pizza baguette bites for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese has fully melted.
