Just a fun, delicious and seriously easy idea that works great as a party food or a simple cheeky lunch or breakfast: mini pull apart baguette pizza bites made with gluten free baguette bread, a quick no-cook tomato purée based pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni. 🥖🍕

Ingredients
Quick no-cook pizza sauce:
  • 4-5 Tbsp tomato purée
  • 2-3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (or more / to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp dried basil
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • A few Tbsp of water
Other fun toppings:
  • Other cheeses (parmesan, goat cheese, extra mature cheddar, etc)
  • Bell peppers
  • Pickled jalapeños
  • Red onions
  • Mushrooms
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220C (428F).
  2. Bake your baguette bread in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, until have a lovely crisp outer crust. Then cut it into slices and place them side by side in an oven dish. Optional: at this point you can toast the bread slices briefly under the grill if you want a crispier crunchier texture.
  3. Mix all pizza sauce ingredients together in a bowl and add water, little by little, until you have a nice (not too runny) consistency.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce all over the bread slices, add a generous amount of mozzarella and your choice of toppings.
  5. Bake your pizza baguette bites for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese has fully melted.

BAKING TEMPERATURE: 220C (428F)

BAKING TIME: 4-5 mins (for the bread alone) + 10-15 mins (with toppings)
